About Me
I am passionate about using community-engaged research to build better, more representative public and non-profit services.
I’m an applied policy researcher with the Idaho Policy Institute at Boise State University. I study pressing public policy issues in order to support informed decision-making among policymakers and organizational leaders. I hope to help build a strong connection between the public and decision-makers by studying and supporting the use of evidence, including feedback from clients and other stakeholders, for organizational learning within governmental and nonprofit agencies.
Nine years of leading and collaborating on research projects for local governments and nonprofits have made me an expert in project planning and research methodology. I have conducted research on housing, healthcare, transportation, education, and economic development, and this experience has taught me to take a systems-oriented approach to understanding these overlapping public needs.
